Charity Walk For Peace Christ Church School – New Malden
A wonderful Charity Walk for Peace was organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association UK at the Christ Church School – New Malden on Friday 28th June 2019.
It was great honour for the school that Mr Rafi Ahmad, Vice Chair for Charity Walk for Peace, accepted the invitation as the chief guest. The main organiser on behalf of the school was Ms Denise Lieu-Jenkins and from Charity Walk for Peace the local head Mr Shahid Mahboob lead the whole amazing event.
Mr Rafi Ahmad presented the work of the charity and thanked the Head teacher, Ms White, for accepting to co-host the Walk for Peace.
Over 300 children school children took part, each was provided a high-vis jacket with the Charity Walk for Peace logo on its reverse. Each child was provided a medal and certificate at the end of the 3-lap walk around the school playing fields.
The children were provided fruit and snacks, along with a cold orange squash drink. The children sat on the field and enjoyed the treats.
The Head teacher thanked Mr Rafi Ahmad and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association UK for organising such a wonderful event.

About Us
The Charity Walk for Peace was founded in the service of humanity, rooted in the call of duty and substantiated by our mission actuated not by consideration of reciprocity or reputation but rather our desire to win the pleasure of God through service to his creation. Our aim is to relieve the suffering of the poor and to promote peace, understanding and goodwill amongst people of all walks of life.
The Charity Walk for Peace is an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association – part of the UK’s oldest established Muslim community. Inspired by the tenets of Islam, the Charity Walk for Peace aims to relieve suffering and serve mankind regardless of colour, creed or race. By bringing people together to help others it works to promote peace, engender greater understanding and promote goodwill amongst people from all walks of life.
Since its inception in 1985, the walk has been held at different venues across the UK with thousands participating each year. To date, over £8.9 million has been distributed to over 600 UK registered charities. A number of regional charity receptions and walks are organised throughout the UK culminating with the annual event organised to benefit various charities that provide practical help and support to vulnerable people.
We want to help society and support charitable endeavours and demonstrate loyalty to our country and nation. The distinctive feature of the charity walk for peace is that all organisers are unpaid volunteers and have no administrative costs. All operational costs are met by membership subscriptions.
EVERY PENNY RAISED GOES TO CHARITY
We are coming together, with hundreds of special guests on Thursday 26th May 2022 to celebrate the great achievements of our Queen during her remarkable 70-year reign.
This will be a Special Reception & Dinner in honour of Her Majesty the queens PLATINUM JUBILEE
(The first-ever British monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee).
