“I am delighted that this super event will take place here in Scotland. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s promotion of global peace is so warmly welcomed, and this walk, supporting charity and worthwhile causes, is a great way to show how we can all do our own bit, in our own community, to make our world a better place.”Linda-Fabiani-MSP"

“Scotland is a tolerant nation which believes in equality and welcomes all faiths. The Ahmadiyya community makes an important contribution to inter-faith activity in Glasgow and their charitable activities, including the Charity Walk for Peace, have benefited the lives of many of my constituents. “I am proud to support this fantastic event. The Ahmadiyya Muslim community's charity walk is growing each year and raises much needed funds for causes that save lives and make a very real difference to people's life chances whether in the UK or abroad. “I am delighted the annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s Charity Walk for Peace is being held in Newham this year. This is the most ethnically diverse place in England and Wales and the Association’s aims mirror our work to develop strong, cohesive and integrated local communities. As well as bringing people from a wide range of backgrounds and faiths together, these walks also raise money for local and national good causes. I hope this year’s walk proves to be the most successful yet. ”

“I warmly welcome to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association’s (AMA) latest push to promote peace worldwide and to help people break free from poverty. The AMA has a long standing history of raising money for charitable causes, typical of their greater efforts to extend their hand of cooperation and friendship. Efforts such as these exemplify the message of ‘Love For All and Hatred for None’ and serves to show us all what different faiths have in common and what they can do together to serve the greater good. I would like to send my warmest wishes to all those participating in the Walk for Peace and I hope that the event will raise considerable funds for those nominated charities.”

“I welcome the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA) charity Walk For Peace being held in East London on 29 May. The AMEA do fantastic work in raising much needed funds for well deserving charities and we can all be proud of their dedication, enthusiasm and kindness that helps so many people. I have seen this walk go from strength to strength and wish them all well as they put their best foot forward.”

“The partnership was established nearly five years ago, and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has been enormously grateful for the fundraising support it has received from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA). Across the UK members of AMA have taken part in a number of initiatives and activities to help fund the vital and pioneering work undertaken by the BHF. I would like to thank each and everyone of them for their commitment. The majority of the money raised by AMA has been directed to the BHF’s Mending Broken Hearts Appeal which funds our most ambitious research programme ever, bringing together the world’s leading scientists in regenerative medicine. The research aims to repair heart muscle damaged by a heart attack. Our scientists believe that we could find a cure within a generation. On behalf of BHF I would like to thank each AMA member for joining us in our fight for every heartbeat. We look forward to a long and continued partnership with the Ahmadiyya Community.”

“At the end of National Volunteers Week, I am pleased to be able to send a message of support for the annual Ahmadiyya Muslim Association charity walk. The ideals, energy and efforts of volunteers and participants in events such as this, raising funds for a variety of good causes, is the cornerstone of a vibrant society and strong communities. And in these challenging economic times, it is the work of voluntary and community organisations, volunteers, faith groups and social enterprises that will be key to ensuring that we come out stronger than before. I wish you every success today.
